Ryan Petersen was born in 1991 in the small town of Atherton, Australia, where he has resided for nearly 19 years. While growing up Ryan developed an early passion for the arts such as drawing and listening to music. It wasn't until he was older that his fascination with electronic dance music (EDM) spurred him on to pursue a career of such. It wasn't until a late night party in March 2007 that he was introduced to his first Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) FL Studio 7, where a career could become a reality. Under the alias Electrodia, he released several tracks with little to no success. Not one to give in, he took the time to nurture and hone his skills.
When the time came, his first YouTube upload "Submerge" took the FL community by storm, amassing hundreds of views within weeks. Following up with several other hits, his establishment paved the way for more songs and a bigger audience. It wasn't until two years into his journey (2009) that his efforts began to pay off. With the release of Mirage, Ryan scored a local record deal with Trance Essential, although the deal would later collapse from financial difficulty. Spurred on by successes, Ryan continued to compose, making an end of year change to the DAW Ableton Live 8 and scoring a second deal with the upcoming label Neonic Records.
